Software ki Hardware...
I have been in these situations numerous times, not only because only on my machine/laptop, but I have seen the both the sides of the same coin.
But, its fun to prove each other wrong that the issue is either hardware or software. Why do I come to this topic you say ?
I am facing problem with my laptop and it is in the GREY area of software or hardware. But, I had to get up very early in the day to meet the HP Service center to beat the crowd there. They have taken my laptop away from me for 2 days.... sob sob..I am sure, it will be more than that though....

Old Friends ...
Skipped my Gym intending to study few things for my forthcoming exams, and could not resist to login to my machine. And there I find my old school mate, who was a "very good" friend back then was logged on to gtalk.
I, honestly was reluctant to ping, and wondered if she would reply, but lo behold, she herself pinged....and we chatted away about the normal stuff about where I was and where she was stuff. I knew that she had got married now and hence talked a bit about it. But, my mind was wandering in all the places, that i had met her apart from school.
We had spent a good amount of time in Xth standard classes, met her 3 years ago in Mindspace, Mumbai ...and both those places and things I was going through, werent surely my best. I would be embarrased to re-visit the stupid things I did then or didnt do..
3 years ago was a different Rohan, he was FAT, disillusioned in work and life and looking for something drastic to happen to change. I prayed for it hard...and it did happen...for good.
I got a new lease of life, lived a totally different life, which was more comfortable, a job which was handsomely paying and the Gym, which I had to so deperately visit. But, that came at a price to stay away from folks.
3 years down the line, am I going in the same direction ? Do I know, what I need to do in future ? I guess I know, but how much I pursue it is what time will tell.
Hope I not leave this one to destiny....till then ..back to chatting with my Friend tomorrow !

Mumbai Meri Jaan !
The best part of all movies related to Mumbai are, that I get to see all the places in my favourite city and relate to it. It almost gives me goose-bumps. I can relate to anything and everything related to Mum. I just love it...
There are times, when I think, I should sell off my place in mumbai, 'cos its so much unclean, so damn congested, but NO, I want a place to come back to ...which I can call it my own.I LOVE it here..It would give me immense pleasure to get to mumbai. I would jump at every opporutnity to come back, if time permits..
I think, you can take a man out of mumbai, but cannot take MUMBAI out of a man.Certainly not out of me !!

Indians @ Athletics
I mean, I don't expect the guys to win medals with all the problems they face back home and more...but....I do expect them to do their best. This is the stage, where you should exceed your personal best and try and compete with the other champs. But do our guys do? No one even reaches their personal best and are well below par of their own standards !!
Why does that happen ? May be they have lost the race before they start it...that is not what we expect of them !!
Learn a thing or two from our BOXERS..they are fighting hard..hope we secure a medal or two tomorrow ! AMEN

Let the Games begin
Though, I am not a great fan of the country named "China", the Olympic moment is beyond all boundaries. I am keen to see how India performs in this one. Though, this seems to be best team India has ever sent to the Games, I have my hopes pinned on the shooting team and the boxing team
I am expecting, more than 1 medals in the shooting event. The shooters really look confident and the team is indeed pretty STRONG. I have, unfortunately, no hopes from the Tennis team. Only a miracle, will help Paes and Bhupati win a medal with almost no practice. They did play in couple of tournaments, but they did not even reach the quaters in any of those. They are clearly beyond their peak and passion does not take you far enough. Though, I will be equally proud to see them win a medal.
Medals in any other event, like Badminton, will be a great add-on.
So....Let the Games Begin !...and we will sit back and Enjoy !!

Monday is done with....
...and what a Monday it has been. Actually, like any other Monday. As all Monday's this too was all about, catching up with all the tasks, that you leave behind in your office on Friday ! On Friday, you never ever feel like working, 'cos you are in weekend mood, looking forward to 2 days (in some cases, 1 day) off.
..hence the work always get carried forward to Monday !..Amazingly, this is the case for most of us, sane people across the globe in all sectors. But, there are few, who love to reach office on Monday and love doing the job they do !
So, what did I do today? I researched away to glory about a place, I am planning to spend my weekend in two week's time. I learnt and seen so many snaps, that I guess, I have seen all that the place has to offer, sitting at my desk !
and I did some work toooo....and at the end of it all chatted away to glory with 2 of my good friends, away from where I am !!

India, the soft target
Why cant we have a great intelligence network ? with all that knowledge and engineers that we have, why cant we have a system in place to tackle the entire mess?
Why cant we have stricter laws to punish the culprits? Why cant we raise on the higher morale ground and execute the terrorists that we catch hold off ? Why do we have to listen to the Human Rights commission, when they have no explanation of the ordinary life's being taken away from the loved ones ??
Why cant all states come together and all intelligence in this country with awesomely qualified officers and avert these series of blasts ? Is it so easy, to conduct a series of blasts in two of the most important cities of the nation ?
More importantly, are we gonna forget about it in a month's time ?...till another city is rocked ??

...Cricket and more Blasts !
I think the guys concentrated more on Mendis, than on Murali, and ended up giving wickets to both..super !!
Gary Kirsten, must be cursing his stars, and Parthiv Patel, must be celebrating. Parthik is a better player than Dinesh Karthik, but dunno why is neglected !!
I have no problem with losing, but I have a major problem in the way we are losing, give it a fight at least guys !!
...as I write this one, news of another blasts in Ahmedabad is trickling in...I guess its time for this nation to go on offensive, against these criminals !...till then we continue to lose life :(

Blasts....Series of them !
Life has become so unpredictable, some poor lady died in these blast, just because she was standing @ a bus stop !!..unfortunate. No Power in major cities, No diesel/petrol for cars, generators and if that was not enough, there are blasts !!
Anyone who is trying to spread terror in the hearts of common people are terrorists, internal or external, and should be punished...if caught that is. I dont remember anyone arrested for the Jaipur bomb blasts. Problem is "we" forget about it, only those who lose their near and dear ones remember the unfortunate ones everyday !
On a lighter note, I guess inflation has hit "them" as well. The blasts were, thankfully, of low intensity !!
I wonder, if this is going to go on for ever.....is it safe to stay anywhere in this Country..or hold on...in this World ??

Cliff Richard
The first song I heard was http://youtube.com/watch?v=lZ1sZXCieVw and then continued to listen to few more. Surprisingly, I hadn't heard of Cliff before and hence did a Wiki search...I like to use Wiki a lot.
I liked what I read about him and more importantly appreciate his music..but I guess he was not very success full in the US, hence the not very popular ?
Rest the day was good. For me the last official working day for the week. I am again on a 3 days weekend, my second one in consecutive weeks !!...Reason: Hmm..I am busy learning new things...which might help me professionally !!...Lets keep it at that !

Back..for good !
As I wind up today’s day in office, I want to finish off this comeback blog! …else, I fear will never ever will be able to write ..Today’s day was not any different than others. Some work, some play (cricket) but no Gym ..which is the only thing different !
I just happened to read Big B’s blog today and I must say it is impressive. The 1st thing that strikes you is the big smart picture of AB! Better than other pictures of his. Though, I am not really interested as in what he is up to in his everyday life, I went through his last few blogs, and I like what he wrote about Politics (in films or otherwise) and other causes.
He has used his father’s poems, quotes often, which perhaps are his effective way of communication now! ..and of course he is as humble as ever.
...and yesterday was another eventful day, in Indian politics and hence in mine as well, as I do follow politics pretty closely. It was an action packed day and finally ended on expected note. I will not be surprised, if BJP actually wanted the UPA to win, to keep Mayawati out of the PM post. I am glad that, thankfully, that is not the case for the time being at least. I somehow, can’t comprehend Mayawati as the PM of this nation….for some reason!...I probably don’t want to see statues of Mayawati and her mentor Kanshi Ram across India.
Neither do I want to see, Mayawati and Barack Obama, discussing future of Indo-US relationship, apart from the obvious height difference ;)

Jai Jawaan
It gives an opportunity to viewers like us, to visit the frontiers through the television and understand the work our soldiers do, and under what conditions.
The best part of the show, for me, is the segment, when they show messages of families of few soldiers. It is by-far the most emotional moment on the show and nothing can beat that. Our moist-eyed soldiers watch that 2-3 min clip with pride. I am sure, other soldiers, think about their own families while watching that clip. Like in the last episode, with Vidya Balan, one of soldiers saw his new born daughter for the 1st time only on TV !!
It is also so gratifying to know, that these families, against all odds, never ever complain and ask their sons to do the best for the nation. Hats Off !
There have been quite a few of such episodes with numerous stars, and there is no particular episode that we can be called best, because the real stars in each of them are our great Jawans !!
Jai Jawan !!

Tibet
So, why do you think, Tibet is suddenly "there". It is most certain that the Tibetans want to grab attention of the world on the eve of Olympics, which is the largest sporting event on this earth, apart from the football world cup (no, cricket has not reached there yet :D). What we all know, which can be sometimes limited, is that Tibetans are demanding independence from China, the super power. Why would one distance from a economic super-power ? Maybe , they are tired of being neglected, suppressed over the years by the Chinese governments. Will they be successful to gain even autonomy, is what remains to see.
What do you expect Chinese to do? Use force some might say to suppress the agitation and that would not be a wild guess. The extent of force, hopefully is lesser than what we can even imagine. With US of A, like its old habit, poking its now economically bleeding nose into this issue, it is potentially going to be a another great war of words between, the two giant (& arrogant) nations
What does India do in all this mess ? Nothing ! Like always India will not utter a word and will remain equidistant from all the parties involved. It is probably unfortunate for the Lamas and the Tibetans, Dharamsala happens in to be in our nation, which does not really believe in taking a stand in any issue. Can't really blame her, the governments are not able to take a firm stand on internal issues as well !!
I happened to go through the following blog, which gives more insight, of what Dharamsala is all about !! http://unseendharamsala.blogspot.com/ and what His Holiness Dalai Lama has been able to achieve over the years. Also, explains why he is revered across the globe.
Finally, lets hope and pray that this and all other conflicts come to an end with "peace" winning the battle yet again !!...Peace can still be given a chance !!

Writing Blogs ?
I have lost count the number of times, I have tried to write my thoughts somewhere or other. The best place possible nowadays are the blogs. I had attempted doing that 1st, when blogs were not very popular with the so-called net-savvy people. But, that vanished as quickly as it came. I dont even remember the blog name or the link of my website.
I have been told, that I have the potential to write !!...may be..just may be they might be right. But, something is seriously wrong as well...
Look at this blog, I dont remember the last time I wrote on this one !....but, here we go..the bug bites me again...KEEDA as they say !!..
I have deleted few earlier posts and starting afresh !......
